Privacy policy

Zen master is a quiet place to sit with an AI teacher. What you bring here is personal, so this page says plainly what we keep, why, who helps us run the service, and how you can download or delete what is yours.
Who we are
Zen master (zencoach.space) is run by Anjadhe LLC ("we", "us"). For anything about your privacy, write to support@anjadhe.ai.
In short
- What you keep in Zen master is stored in your browser and, so it is not lost, on our servers under your account.
- We do not read your conversations, sell your information, show you advertising, or use what you write to train AI models.
- To answer you, your messages are sent to an AI model, as described below.
- You can download a copy of everything, or delete your account and all of it, at any time in Settings.
What we keep
What you keep in the app
Your sittings (conversations with the teacher), the memories the teacher keeps about you, your journal lines, and your settings, including what you ask the teacher to call you, what you write about yourself, what brings you here and your experience with meditation. These are kept in your browser's storage and copied to our database, so they survive a cleared browser and, if you sign in, follow you to your other devices. A sitting you choose not to keep is not saved anywhere.
Your account
The first time your browser keeps anything, it gets an anonymous account, held by a cookie. It needs no name or email. If you sign in, by an emailed link or with Google, we keep your email address, and use it only to sign you in, for anything about your subscription if you have the plan, and to answer you if you write to us. Subscribing needs signing in, and checkout starts with that address.
Your plan and payments
The plan is sold through Polar, our merchant of record, which takes payment and handles tax. Your card details go to Polar and its payment processor and never reach us. We keep whether your account has the plan, until when, whether it is monthly or yearly, and the identifiers Polar gives your subscription and you as a customer, so we can match its notices to your account. Polar keeps your payment details, billing country and receipts under its own privacy policy, and as the law requires for payment and tax records.
Counts, not content
To run the service fairly and keep it affordable, we keep counts: how many messages each account sends each day, how many tokens those messages used and what they cost; how many times each day the safety check showed crisis lines; and how many people chose each answer to the welcome questions. The welcome counts are shown to us only as totals, never who chose what, and never anything written in your own words. To limit how many sign-in links and new accounts one network can ask for, we keep a one-way hash of the network address for a short time, not the address itself.
To see how Zen master is used and make it better, we also count, each day, which pages are opened and what is done (for example how many practices were begun, how often Stillness was opened, which kind of model answered and how long messages were), split only by whether the visitor was signed in, had an anonymous account, or had none yet. These are daily totals with no account, address or words attached. So that each browser is counted once a day, the app keeps the date of your last visit in your browser's local storage. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, none of this is counted.
Technical information
Like any website, our hosting provider handles your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and protect the service, and keeps operational logs for a limited time. Our own logs record errors and status codes, not the contents of your messages.
How we use it
- To give the teacher's replies, remember what matters to you, and keep your sittings in step across devices.
- To sign you in, and to check each message for signs that you may be in danger so the app can show where to find help.
- To apply the daily message allowance and our spending limit, and to prevent abuse.
- To understand, in totals only, what people come to Zen master for, so we can make it more helpful.
- To answer you when you write to us.
The AI that answers you
To answer, your recent messages, what you have written about yourself and what the teacher remembers are sent through our server to an AI model. The app's own teacher runs on models hosted by DeepInfra, which does not store what is sent to it or train on it, though it may keep a small part of requests for a limited time to fix problems or prevent abuse. The safety check that reads each message uses the same service. AI replies can be wrong; see the terms.
Who helps us run the service
- Cloudflare hosts the app and its database, delivers pages, and, when switched on, runs Turnstile, a check that a new visitor is a person rather than a script.
- DeepInfra runs the AI models for the app's own teacher and the safety check.
- Resend sends sign-in emails, so it receives your email address and the link.
- Google, only if you choose Continue with Google: Google confirms your email address to us. We ask for nothing else from your Google account, and Google's own privacy policy covers what it keeps.
- Polar sells the plan as merchant of record, so it receives your email address, billing country and payment details (through its payment processor, Stripe), and sends your receipts.
They process information only to provide their services to us. We do not sell or share your personal information with anyone for advertising.
Cookies and browser storage
We use one essential cookie, zen_session, which keeps your browser connected to its account. It cannot be read by the page's scripts and lasts up to a year, renewed as you use the app. Your sittings, memories, journal and settings are also kept in your browser's local storage so the app opens instantly and works offline. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies; the date of your last visit, kept in local storage for the daily counts above, never leaves your browser. If Turnstile is switched on, Cloudflare may set its own cookie for that check.
How long we keep it
- What you keep in the app, and your account, until you delete them.
- Sign-in links stop working after fifteen minutes and are removed within a day after that.
- Network hashes used to limit new accounts are cleared after the day they were made.
- Daily counts tied to your account are deleted with your account. Totals that identify no one, such as the day's spending, may be kept.
- Deleting your account ends your subscription and removes your plan's details from our database; Polar keeps its records of past payments as the law requires.
If we ever begin removing accounts that have not been used for a long time, we will say so here first.
Your choices and rights
- Download a copy of your sittings, memories, journal and settings in Settings.
- Change or let go of anything the teacher remembers in Remembered, or pause remembering in Settings.
- Keep a sitting out of the app entirely by turning off "Keep this sitting".
- Delete everything: Erase everything in Settings, or, if you are signed in, Delete account, which removes your account and all of it on every device.
- Ask us at support@anjadhe.ai to access, correct or delete your information. Please write from, or tell us, the email address you sign in with, so we can find your account.
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to ask us to correct or delete it, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell personal information, or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Age
Zen master is for adults, 18 and over. Before you talk with the teacher, and when you sign in, we ask you to confirm that you are, and keep the date you confirmed with your settings and your account; we never ask for your date of birth. We do not knowingly keep information about anyone younger. If you believe someone under 18 is using the app, write to us and we will delete their account.
Keeping it safe
Everything travels over encrypted connections. Sign-in links and session cookies are stored only as one-way hashes, and our providers encrypt stored data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what you keep here.
Where it is processed
Anjadhe LLC is based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.
Not for emergencies
Zen master is not a crisis or medical service, and we do not watch conversations. If you are in danger, please reach a person now: see where to find help.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app before they take effect.
